To help you with that, Lehle introduce the Bassswitch Dual Band Compressor. The pedal is designed in collaboration with RPI, and both brands boast a spotless track record when it comes to guitar and bass effects. As such, it's little wonder that this high-quality pedal uses double the electrical current to create a truly enormous amount of headroom.

The Lehle Basswitch Dual Band Compressor: Taming Dynamics

Compressing the sound of a bass isn't exactly easy, which is why Lehle and RPI opted for dual-band compression. This means that the frequency range of your bass is split in two and compressed individually to make sure the signal doesn't die out when you accidentally pull or tap a little too hard on the strings. By adjusting the crossover frequency via the tone control, you can experiment with the sound for different results.

Prima compressor. Built like a tank. Een beetje een raar/afwijkend formaat. De compressor klinkt heel erg neutraal, totaal geen enkele kleuring. Dat gezegd hebbende: hij klinkt ook een beetje "saai". Het lijkt wel een studio-compressor zo neutraal! Maar mss hoort dit bij een compressor. Ik heb uiteindelijk voor de Aguilar TLC gekozen, omdat de TLC iets meer "kleurt". Een prettige kleuring.

Compressore di altissima qualità, il migliore mai avuto, si può anche esagerare con la compressione ma il suono rimane sempre chiaro e naturale nonostante riesca a lavorare anche quasi come un limiter, fa il suo lavoro senza alterare minimamente il suono. Tutto risulta più bilanciato e potente. Pur avendo avuto un FEA dual band fino a pochi giorni prima, ritengo questo superiore in quanto più trasparente e con un "envelope" molto più naturale.



Amazing compressor, this is the best I ever tried and I've tried a lot. I had a FEA dual band comp only few days before this and I liked this better becouse it does the compression, if you want extreme compression too, without altering the tone of the instrument in any way, it's hard to describe but it compress "under your fingers" but you can't tell it's on based on your sound, just Amazing. The only change you'll find in the tone is that it's all much more balanced, controlled and powerfull.
