Fender y el maestro guitarrista Eric Johnson ofrecen una mejora sublime para las Strats equipadas con tres pastillas y un golpeador de 8 agujeros: la Strat Pre-Wired Pickguard Eric Johnson Signature. Aquí, la pastilla custom de bobina simple en el puente te da el tono cálido, ajustado y dinámico de un imán AlNiCo V, mientras que la pastilla custom de bobina simple invertida colocada en el medio le da un giro fresco y sin estridencias a la pastilla del medio de una Stratocaster de 1963. La pastilla de mástil AlNiCo III custom, por su parte, ofrece el sonido de una Strat de 1954, completando una trinidad de alta potencia que ofrece la versatilidad sónica que exigen los guitarristas polifacéticos como Johnson.
