General

The Boss SL-20 Slicer is an audio pattern processor that takes your guitar, bass, key and vocal parts and turns them into swinging rhythms. There are 50 slice patterns to choose from, but it's also possible to create experimental percussive melodies using the innovative Harmonic Slicer function. A looper and a 3D panning function are at your disposal as well. The SL-20 is not just a great effect to use live on stage, but also serves as a source of inspiration when you're writing new songs.

Characteristics of the SL-20

Setting a tempo for your grooves is easy using the built-in Tap Tempo or a MIDI clock signal. The attack, the length of the slices, the effect level and the volume of the incoming signal can all be adjusted by means of the audio pattern processor's knobs or an optional expression pedal. Not only guitarists, but bass and key players too will enjoy working with the Boss Slicer.
