Fender Take a Step Above and Beyond with the American Ultra Series!
Fender completely reset the standard with the enhanced precision, playing comfort and sound of their American Ultra Series. These are the freshest models from Fender and come with never-dreamed-before features including newly contoured bodies, buzz-free, Ultra Noiseless Pickups and a faster than ever neck-profile. American Ultra: What's new?
While developing the American Ultra Series, the Fender team laboriously picked over every detail of their instruments, considering every component from the base of the body to the tip of the head as an opportunity for improvement. As such and for the first time in decades, Fender have adjusted the contours of their iconic models, giving them newly sculpted belly-cuts and rounded heels for the highest possible playing comfort. The neck has been finished with ultra rolled edges, an ultra satin finish and a Modern D-profile neck and 10 to 14-inch compound radius for incredibly precise, agile playing and ultra sustain, even on extreme bends.
Ultra Upgrades
Every instrument included in the American Ultra Series has been mounted with one of two variations of the innovative Ultra Noiseless pickups. The Ultra Noiseless Vintage pickup maintains an authentic single-coil Fender sound while the Ultra Noiseless Met delivers more contemporary tone for fans of more solid work. Both versions remove any of the buzz and hum associated with earlier generations and, depending on the model, an S-1 switch will give you even more sound variation while the built-in bass preamps have been completely overhauled. In true Fender style, a fresh list of incredibly named paint-jobs comes with the Ultra Series. Mocha Burst, Texas Tea and Artic Pearl each have a radiant metallic finish while Ultraburst and Cobra Blue sound closer to super heroes than colour swatches while models that have been built with an ash body have been more subtly finished with a transparent veneer to show off the intricate grain of the wood.
The Ultra Series in a Nutshell
The Fender American Ultra Series includes seven models with numerous colour variations, amounting to a total of no fewer than 44 instruments. The most striking feature of the Ultra Telecaster is its super low-profile bridge plate with six chrome-plated brass saddles, while the Ultra Stratocaster HSS is mounted with the new Ultra Double Tap Humbucker which can be switched to single-coil sound without volume loss. The Ultra Jazzmaster is completely outfitted with Ultra Noiseless pickups that can be put in series using the S-1 switch for an ultra thick tone. Bass players now have the pick of the Ultra Precision, Ultra Jazz or 5-string Ultra Jazz V, each model modestly boasting lightweight and tapered tuners for extra tuning stability and a switchable, active 3-band EQ.
