A multimeter is a great and versatile tool to have if you want to quickly check a cable, or see whether a power socket is still working, for instance. The Promax FP2B multimeter has a wide range of different functions. You can measure both alternating and direct voltage, current and resistance. But that's not all! You can also measure frequencies and even read capacitors. All in all, it's a highly complete meter that is also very reasonably priced.
Promax FP2B: an overview
If you take a closer look at the front of the meter, then you'll see a large dial with 32 positions. Each position corresponds with a certain measurable quantity. This system improves the multimeter's accuracy, as it works in small scales so that its readings are highly accurate in those small areas. On the bottom of the meter, you'll find four inputs for the test leads and cables. Please check carefully which attachments you should be using at any given time. Finally, the meter also features an 'auto-off' function to extend the battery life.
