General
Shure's Beta series is known for its high quality and durability, and the Beta 87A condenser microphone, developed for live as well as studio vocals, is no exception! It's a combination of excellent sound and the sturdiness that's necessary for use on the road, where you can enjoy studio-grade sound for live applications!
Shure's Beta 87A has A has a super-cardioid pickup pattern, resulting in little or no ambient noise. Disruptive external influences are kept to a minimum by the built-in pop filters and advanced pneumatic shock mount system which counters handling noise as well as the sound of wind and breathing. The 87A consists of a controlled low-frequency roll-off which compensates for the so-called 'proximity effect'. This can occur when singing directly into the microphone, causing a change in the frequency response of a microphone, therefore emphasising lower frequencies. In short, with this microphone, you're prepared for any situation, whether it's in the studio or live on stage, for recordings or amplification! The SXL 2's signal is transferred over the airwaves to the receiver, so you'll be completely wireless with total freedom of movement!
