General
The Line 6 V75-40V wireless handheld microphone combines Line 6's digital wireless technology with the Earthworks WL40V hyper-cardioid capsule. A combination that was made in studio-grade sound heaven, where there are no cables! The hand-crafted Earthworks capsule has an immensely quick response, a broad frequency range, and is able to cope with high sound pressure levels. The hyper-cardioid pickup pattern ensures plenty of detail, making this microphone perfect for singers - you can almost do without tone control. Additionally, the hyper-cardioid pattern makes this microphone highly directional, which means that it only picks up what it needs to pick up - ignoring the rest and thus preventing feedback.
Earthworks
Earthworks was founded first and foremost to produce the best-sounding speakers on the planet. However, founder David Blackmer noticed that the reference standard of test equipment wasn't high enough for his goal. As a result, the first Earthworks omni-directional microphones were developed. Even though Blackmer pursued his goal for a very long time, his speakers are no longer manufactured while his microphones and preamps soon became the new professional standard. Each Earthworks microphone is hand-made and tuned to make sure they provide pristine sound transference. The three-dimensional projection of the sound of these microphones is so good, if you close your eyes, you can almost see the music.
Line 6 XD-V
The Line 6 XD-V system is the only wireless system able to transmit the enormous frequency range of this hand-made, tried-and-tested Earthworks WL40V capsule. As the XD-V system doesn't compress the signal and has a huge dynamic range and 24-bit, full frequency response, it sounds and performs like a cable microphone.
