General

These days, many vocalists and speakers prefer wireless microphones. No longer restricted by cables, they're able to move freely across the stage. Shure's QLXD24/Beta87A system, for instance, gives performers all the freedom of movement they desire. The included Beta 87A microphone has a replaceable capsule, which means you can change its sound at will. What makes this system so unique, however, is the fact that it uses digital technology to transmit the signal. If any noise is detected in the digital signal, the D/A converter's wide error margin effectively nullifies it, ensuring great sound at all times.

Shure QLXD/Beta87A K51: wireless quality

With the QLXD/Beta87A system, Shure proves that batteries aren't necessarily a bottleneck for digital systems. On a single battery charge, it's able to perform for up to nine hours. Use the optional Shure lithium-ion battery, and you can even keep on going for ten hours! Recharging the system is easy thanks to a number of external contact points; there's no need to open up the mic. Boasting a range of 100 metres, this wireless Shure system can easily cover large stages. Setting up a connection between the microphone and the receiver is simple, thanks to the use of infrared technology.

A practical set

Unlike an analogue system, the Shure QLXD24/Beta87A K51 system enables you to work with several microphones simultaneously. As the digital signal requires only limited bandwidth, it's possible to use the set for large-scale productions. You can monitor the receiver from your computer or iOS device via LAN.
