Many musicians are already sold on the d:facto by DPA. From Sting to Ellie Goulding and from Kate Bush to Stevie Wonder, some of the biggest names swear by this extremely natural-sounding vocal condenser microphone that's suitable for use in the studio as well as on stage. This d:facto microphone is really in a league of its own, as its impressive list of features is so far unsurpassed. Spurred on by this great success, DPA decided to design another mic in the series.
The d:facto Linear Vocal Microphone is just the thing audio technicians have been looking for!
Linear and interference-free
As its name suggests, this d:facto Linear vocal mic is specialised in delivering a frequency response that's as linear as possible. To achieve this, DPA left the vocal 12 kHz boost out of the equation. What's more, this mic offers remarkably good directional characteristics. The impervious qualities of this mic is a result of its super cardioid pickup pattern on the front and a different, smaller super cardioid pattern on the back. Together, they ensure that the vocals are captured optimally with as little background interference as possible.
