Any regular DPA user will know they're getting incredible quality and flexibility. The 2006C is a meticulously natural sounding, small-diaphragm condenser microphone from the d:dicate Series. This series includes diverse microphone capsules and preamps that can be freely combined for exceptional performance. The 2006C is a pre-combined example that comes fitted with the omnidirectional MMC2006 and ultra-compact MMP-C preamp.

Two Diaphragms

On the inside of the MMC2006 compact condenser, we find not one but two diaphragms that combine all of the advantages of a small membrane mic and those of large membrane in one microphone. As a result, the MMC2006 is an incredibly low-noise condenser with an incredibly fast reaction to, and correction of, volume peaks. In contrast to the DPA 2006A, the 2006C comes with the smaller MMP-C preamp in a combination that gives the lower tones a touch more body and ensures easier microphone positioning.
