X1850 PRIME: The Lay-Out
The four channels of the X1850 are fitted in the centre and are multi-assignable in phono or line. Just north of these, you'll find the 'high-visibility' 3-band EQ, which can be used in normal mode, Isolation mode or, if you'd like to switch things up, go with frequency-controlled band isolation. The EQ naturally includes 60-mm, smooth-operating faders and Denon's Flex-Fader crossfader is sure to please die-hard scratch fanatics. This crossfader can be freely adjusted to match your performance with your personal preferences.
FX and More
Any genuine club-mixer needs to serve as an extension for you as a DJ and this includes a solid set of FX. Luckily, the X1850 is packed with various, dynamic effects such as 4x 'sweep', a powerful low/high-pass filter with adjustable colouring and resonance, 16x BPM-based effects, quantize, and the so-called Time Division touch strip that allows you to match any effects with your rhythm. Thanks to the bright, OLED display and Engine Connect Protocol, you'll always have a clear overview and every single one of your effects is synced to the beat.
Connectivity
Complete control over your set is one thing, but complete control over each of your signals is something only few mixers offer. This Denon DJ mixer not only gives you options for your audio sources (phono, line, digital) but also lets you use USB, DVS channel selection and stereo send and return connectors. Add that to the built-in, 5-port LAN hub that accommodates another four Denon 'SC' players, and you're looking at lightning-fast file transfers and information retrieval. StagelinQ is supported as well and microphone inputs can be found on both the top and back, along with a 5-pin MIDI output. There's more than enough to get your DJ-heart racing!
