Midas have done everything possible to make sure that the compact DM16 retains the rich quality of any of their other mixers. As such, this slimline, 16-channel mixer is a fully-grown desk whether put to work in the studio or as part of a live system. Twelve microphone channels are, of course, supported by Midas-made preamplifiers and are complete with phantom power. Each of these channels can also be used to connect any standard 6.3mm jacks as needed while channels 13-16 offer stereo inputs for gear like keyboards or drum machines. A three-band EQ with parametric mids, two switchable pre or post fader AUX-sends, two monitor outputs and the option to record out via the RCA 2Track are also, all, included with this highly compact, evidently potent DM16 mixer.

Midas DM16 analoog mengpaneel

Ik heb onlangs deze mengtafel bij Bax besteld en helaas terug gestuurd. De mengtafel oogt goedkoop en de wat rare paars-blauwe kleur geeft een indruk alsof het om speelgoed gaat. De reden van terugsturen is toch het geluid. Ik vond het geluid iel en niet wat ik ervan verwacht had. Ik kon er niet mee doen wat ik wilde in de home studio. Vervolgens heb ik voor ongeveer hetzelfde geld de Behringer QX2442USB 24 channels mengpaneel gekocht. Alles wat ik miste bij de Midas DM16 heeft deze mixer wel. En goeie strakke sound, degelijke constructie, veel opties en ook ingebouwde fx processor. Samengevat: de Midas DM 16 is voor weinig geld een mengtafel, maar voor hetzelfde geld zijn er meer mogelijkheden bij andere aanbieders die misschien net iets meer bieden. Dus mijn advies is, ga niet over een nacht ijs en kijk goed rond wat er binnen je budget te koop is.
