It's not very practical for PA engineers to sit near the side of the stage during a performance because they won't be able to clearly hear how their sound adjustmentments play out. This is why lighting and sound operators are often placed on a kind of island. The drawback here, however, is that this requires many, many cables. Fortunately, there's a solution.

This Omnitronic reel is nothing more and nothing less than 20 XLR cables that have been combined into one long, thick cable. At the end of the cable sits a reel with 16 XLR connectors, making it incredibly easy to plug in microphones and instruments directly on stage. The four outputs can be used for the master signal and any on-stage monitors.

All connectors have been coded, which isn't only convenient to tell them apart, but also comes in handy when there's a defect or malfunction. Furthermore, the reel has a rugged, metal cage construction for it to suit mobile use.

Each internal cable is balanced, reducing the chance of interference and guaranteeing a flawless show.
