General
Developed exclusively for Windows users, the Universal Audio Apollo Twin USB Heritage Edition desktop audio interface supplies real-time UAD processing, so plugins are run directly from the hardware, easing the load on your computer during the recording and mixing phases. The built-in preamps are supported by Unision: progressive tech that grants direct access to emulations of preamps from some of the biggest names, including API, Neve, Manley and SSL. Open up the Apollo Twin Console 2.0 app, select the Unison plugin and load up your preamp of choice to monitor with near non-existent latency, record and mix via premium preamps and AD/DA conversion, and do it all without taxing your desktop's CPU.
The Universal Audio Apollo Twin USB: Seamless Hardware & Software Integration
The hardware and software integration of all Universal Audio interfaces is seamless, so no matter what you're plugging in, the preamps automatically respond and adjust the impedance to match the signal type. Via the Unison plugin, you can take advantage of the authentic sound and response of vintage preamps plucked straight out of the golden age that was the sixties and seventies. And, alongside the Apollo Twin interface, UA throw in a complete plugin suite that includes detailed emulations of a Teletronix LA-2A, 1176LN, Pultec EQs and a Unison-enabled UA 610-B Tube Preamp. Softube also comes included and stacked with a range of vintage guitar and bass amplifiers which, thanks to those preamps, are impedance-matched to support more-than-convincing dynamic response.
