As a brilliantly affordable alternative to a fully-fledged SSL console or channel strip, the SSL 2+ features a special function that emulates the sound of the Legacy 4K to give you the warm analogue edge so many mixing engineers and audio purists covet. Next to subtle harmonic distortion, pressing the 4K button injects your sound with a high-frequency boost to give it a welcome bit of upthrust.

USB-Powered & Professional Studio-Grade Quality

The SSL 2+ is loaded with two super-clean microphone preamps that capture every sonic nuance and leave ample headroom. This, combined with discrete low-noise transistors and an integrated circuit means you're free to plug in any microphone without having to worry about gain. Since the SSL 2+ is also USB-powered, it can be plugged into your laptop to work anywhere without losing out on audio quality thanks to the first-rate components used to put this handy interface together. That includes the Neutrik XLR sockets, jack inputs and Alps potentiometers.

Complete Production Software Pack

The Solid State Logic SSL 2+ comes complete with a fully-accommodating software pack, including SSL Native Vocalstrip 2, Drumstrip plug-ins and a trial version of the entire suite, meaning all other plug-ins can be used freely for a period of six months so you can give your productions all of the professional touches they deserve. In addition, a copy of Native Instruments Hybrid Keys and Komplete Start has been thrown in, giving you access to a sample library with over 2,000 sounds including drums and percussion, bass, acoustic instruments, synths, pads, atmospheric effects and more. The list goes on, because SSL have even included Avid Pro Tools | First with 23 plug-ins, Ableton Live Lite, and 1.5 gigabytes of Loopcloud samples. We could be wrong, but that's probably the most value for money any audio interface can get you.
