Ibanez' AW54JR is an acoustic guitar from the Artwood series that's perfect for anyone looking for a compact dreadnought model. It has a mahogany body with a spruce contour, an open pore finish and a scale length of 23.9 inches. The mahogany neck has a flat 15.75-inch fretboard radius that's very comfortable to play. The AW54JR produces a great tone with good bass, prominent mids and excellent definition.

Ibanez Artwood AW54JR Open Pore Natural acoustic guitar

Wow! Ik ben echt onder de indruk van deze gitaar. Als je hem op het eerste gezicht ziet, lijkt het niet veel bijzonders. Het is een iets compactere dreadnought met een natuurlijk ogende finish. Geen binding, dot inlays en open stemmechanieken. Maar wat een karakteristiek geluid komt eruit! Heel warm, maar toch ook een beetje bite in het hoog. Ook projecteert hij voor zijn kleine body goed de ruimte in. Qua volume doet hij niet onder voor mijn reguliere dreadnought van Fender. De satin finish voelt lekker aan en de contour voor je onderarm is een leuke extra toevoeging. Als ik echt iets negatiefs moet bedenken, vind ik de ringen rond het klankgat een beetje afbreuk doen aan het uiterlijk. Maar zoek je een fantastisch klinkende gitaar voor weinig geld, dan raad ik deze zeker aan.
