General
Ibanez is quite popular among guitarists who prefer playing semi-acoustics and archtops. As part of the Artcore Vintage series, the ASV10A has a gorgeous, artificially aged Tobacco Burst Low Gloss finish to give its vintage-style look. To make sure its amplified sound matches the Artcore hollow-body's overall look, it's equipped with two Classic Elite humbuckers that deliver rich, low tone. Because these pickups have a ceramic base, their warm sound is embellished by subtle, sparkling trebles.
ASV10A: wood types and hardware
The Artcore is excellently suited to various genres, like jazz, blues, soul and rock music. This vintage-style guitar offers a well-defined acoustic base sound: focused, with a nicely rounded bright touch to it, and creamy sustain in the lower frequencies. That sound is a direct result of the tried-and-tested combination of a maple body, a mahogany neck and a rosewood fretboard. The ART-1 bridge and Quik Change III tailpiece also have a hand in creating this sound, and they help make string changes much easier and improve the guitar's tuning stability.
Artcore Vintage
More and more guitarists are looking for vintage instruments that show the fact that they've lived a long and hard life. Usually both the actual vintage guitars and the new, artificially reliced models are quite expensive. Enter: the Ibanez Artcore Vintage series. This series consists of semi-acoustic guitars that are artificially aged to get that popular vintage look, but they're much more affordable!
