General
With the AF71F in Tobacco Brown, Ibanez targets two groups of people at once. Its price makes it rather appealing to beginner guitarists, looking for their first hollow-body guitar. Besides that, this Artcore guitar is also great for more advanced jazz cats, who'd like a proper guitar for small pub gigs, for instance. All in all, it offers plenty of value for money. In fact, it's a small miracle that Ibanez manages to offer this absolute gem at this price!
Construction
With its maple body and its mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard, the AF71F in Tobacco Brown has a pleasant core sound with a nice bite to it. The Classic Elite Mini pickup, designed by Ibanez themselves, offers the perfect medium output and helps prevent feedback. As you might expect from Ibanez, this guitar's hardware is highly durable, and everything is finished very neatly. In short, it's a gorgeous hollow-body guitar at a remarkably low price.
Artcore neck
One of the Ibanez Artcore series' greatest advantages is the type of neck it uses. It's a set-in mahogany Artcore-AF neck that is set deeply into the body. Besides allowing for excellent stabilty, it also has a very comfortable heel, and results in far greater sustain for the guitar!
