Throwing things all the way back to the '60s when the Starfire III was still writing its chapter of the Guild legend, the Newark St. Collection edition barely sways from the tried-and-tested recipe. This sensitive reissue still features the same slim hollow-body and shape, features a Bigsby B60 Vibrato tailpiece and comes in a deluxe Cherry Red finish.

The Guild Starfire III: The Build

The body of the Guild Starfire III has been hewn from laminated mahogany that comes coated in a high-gloss urethane lacquer, while the mahogany neck has been given a rosewood fretboard and set of 6105-type twenty frets, which have a narrow and tall profile to ensure lighter playability. Since things have moved on a bit since the sixties, the nut has been made from synthetic bone and the classic headstock has been finished with a set of Grover Sta-Tite machine heads so you're assured of up-to-date tuning stability.

Anti-Hum Dual Coils

The retro rock n' roll looks combine with the tight sound of two Guild-designed Dual-Coils. These humbuckers lay down some warm power framed by a sharp edge, so you're getting the pure sound of the '60s. A volume and tone pot is supplied per pickup, so the output can be quickly dialled in and balanced with ease and, since this model comes including a case, it can be kept safe, happy and healthy for a lifetime.
