General
Gretsch's G6122T Players Edition Country Gentleman in Cadillac Green Metallic is a limited-edition, classically-styled, semi-acoustic guitar with modern features. Guitar legend Chet Atkins co-designed this type of electric hollow-body guitar and helped introduce it to the world. George Harrison was a big fan of these Gretsch guitar models with their gold-plated hardware, Bigsby B6GP vibrato and stylish f-holes.
G6122T Country Gentleman
The body of the G6122T is made of maple, as is the set-in neck that features an eye-catching ebony fretboard. This combination gives the semi-acoustic Gretsch its familiar, balanced sound with just a touch of brightness added on top. Two Filtertron humbucker pickups take the sound to the next level by delivering a strong and full signal to your amplifier. In short, this Cadillac Green Metallic version of the G6122T delivers exactly the sort of sound you'd expect from a Country Gentleman model. With the 3-way pickup switch and volume and tone controls, you can customise the sound to you heart's content.
Gretsch Players Editions
In 2016, Gretsch introduced two new series that both cater to a specific group of guitarists. The Golden Era Edition series was developed for true purists, while more pragmatic players will prefer the Players Edition models. These pay homage to the Gretsch glory days, but incorporate a number of modern modifications into their design. They have a slimmer body, for instance, made possible by Gretsch's innovative 'ML' bracing. This new type of reinforcement ensures that the instruments retain their full hollow-body sound, despite their decreased thickness. Other comfortable new features include an enhanced string-through Bigsby.
