The Starcaster is back!
It's rarer than bigfoot and has gained true legendary status as an undisputed force in the quality and sound department. Additionally, the Starcaster has gone down in history as Fender's only semi-hollow electric guitar, with a distinctive body style also known as offset waist. Rediscovered by a new generation of curious guitarists, the Starcaster re-emerges on the electric guitar scene, this time as part of the Fender Modern Player series Now with an improved construction and even better sound!
Fender Modern Player Starcaster Black: Center-Block for more sustain
The thin semi-hollow body of the Fender Starcaster is made of laminated maple and features an alder Center Block - a solid wooden beam fitted in the centre and along the entire length of the body, splitting the body into two large chambers as it were and providing the guitar with more tone and sustain while reducing the chance of feedback. The front and back of the body of the Starcaster feature the same beautiful bindings that are also found around the characteristic F holes on the top. The C-shaped neck and 22-fret fretboard with black position markers are also made of maple. This semi-acoustic guitar's headstock features a quintessential Starcaster Black Accent Stripe, as well as a Fender logo.
Humbuckers
The Fender Starcaster Black is equipped with two Fender Wide Range humbucker pickups and a three-position pickup switch. Four controls with vintage-style knobs provide each pickup with its own volume and tone control. Additionally, the Fender Starcaster features a Pinned Adjusto-Matic bridge with an anchored tailpiece and a durable 3-layer black pickguard to protect its body.
This guitar is excellently suited for country, jazz, blues and rock & roll.
