General
The left-handed Stratocaster in Fender's American Elite series is here to succeed the 3-Color Sunburst variant in the renowned Deluxe series. A pure, American Strat with a classic core raised to contemporary standards in terms of playing comfort and sound signature. The foundation sound of this Elite Fender is solidly cast in lows, prominently featured in the mid-range and completed with a bright, Stratocaster spank in the highs, made possible by the use of an alder body, a maple neck and a bolt-on construction. This solid-body comes complete with a Fender case, guitar strap, straplocks and an instrument cable.
American Elite Stratocaster LH: Compound neck and fretboard radius
The ebony fretboard with 22 medium frets has a 9.5 to 14 inch compound radius and the neck sports a similar design running from a modern C to a more oval D shape. The American Elite Stratocaster also features a new, a-symmetrical heel near the pocket to smooth out and enhance playing comfort. The high frets allow for effortless string bends while the lower frets can be chord-gripped with ease. The two-point tremolo with six block saddles and the short-post locking machine heads keep the Strat perfectly in tune and allow you to replace strings super quickly.
Deluxe Noiseless single-coils and S-1 pressure switch
The American Elite Stratocaster has been outfitted with Fender's fresh, new Deluxe Noiseless pickups. Three of these single-coils produce the legendary Strat sound without that typical, 50Hz hum. The top of the volume control features a special pressure switch, the S-1. By activating the S-1 switch, a different switch circuit is engaged that sets you up with five, completely new Strat sounds. That's in addition to the five traditional ones you can summon with the 5-way pickup switch without the S-1 switch activated!
