Takamine kick off 2021 with a truly gorgeous, limited edition model: LTD2021 in Charcoal Blue Gradation. This slope-shoulder dreadnought features a cutaway and has been crafted using a solid Sitka spruce top and a solid sapele back and sides. The Japanese master-builders have clearly managed to tap into unprecedented levels of attention to detail and have richly graced the ebony fretboard with complex rose-shaped inlays that are beautifully offset by white abalone binding. Needless to say, this work of art of an instrument comes complete with a case and a certificate of authenticity.

The Takamine LTD2021: CT4-DX Preamp

This electro-acoustic steel-string guitar is equipped with Takamine's innovative under-saddle Palathetic System, which means the sound of each string is captured by its own piezo pickup for purely natural and perfectly balanced sound. Add that to the CT4-DX preamp, and you can be assured that full control over the amplified sound is entirely in your hands. Smaller but no less important details such as the Gotoh machine heads and the immaculately-finished frets complete this stunning Japanese guitar.

The AIZOME Method

The craftspeople at Takamine take pride in their Japanese heritage andoften find inspiration in Gifu; the city where Takamine was born and where the famous AIZOME method stems from. The AIZOME method includes dyeing layers of fabric using a natural, plant-based indigo blue; the colour used for the inlays on the striped ebony fretboard of this hand-made and limited edition LTD2021 model.
