General
This Ibanez AW400CE-LVS is a luxurious yet affordable dreadnought. This model from the Artwood Series offers the best of both worlds: the looks of those classic, older guitars and the playability and sound of a modern western guitar. The AW400CR is the electro-acoustic version of the AW400. Thanks to a built-in pickup you can use it acoustically as well as electrically, which is ideal for recordings and live gigs on stage. The neck, sides and back of the AW400CE-LVS have a matte finish while the top is fitted with a beautiful high-gloss Light Violin Sunburst lacquer.
Ibanez AW400CE-LVS: Cutaway Electric and Solid Top
The AW400CE is a dreadnought-model western guitar which can be distinguished by its rather angular shape and wide waist. This form, in combination with the depth of the body, provides a full, deep sound. The top of the AW400CE is made of solid Sitka spruce which adds a rich, resonating sound with clear trebles. The CE in the type number stands for Cutaway Electric which means this electro-acoustic guitar has a cutaway in the body, making it easier to reach the higher frets.
Fishman pickup and elaborate preamplifier
The electric part of this acoustic western guitar includes a Sonicore undersaddle pickup by the well-known Fishman brand which perfectly picks up the sound from the strings and body and transfers it to the Ibanez Ibanez AEQ-SP2 preamplifier. This preamp has volume control and a 2-band equalizer, plus a digital tuner with LED indication that allows you to quickly and easily tune your guitar and maintain it that way for a long time to come. The AW400CE also has two outputs, a standard 6.3mm jack and a balanced XLR with which you can directly connect it to a mixer or PA system.
