Fender's Newporter Player is an attractively-priced electro-acoustic guitar from the California series. It's slightly smaller than a dreadnought model and has a C profile neck with a satin-gloss finish that makes it comfortable to play.

Newporter Player: wood types and sound

The body has a solid sitka spruce top with a mahogany back and sides for a rich, warm sound with excellent dynamics. The GraphTech NuBone bridge saddle and string nut ensure that the sound comes across as well balanced too with enough volume and extra overtones. For an accurate amplified sound, the Newporter Player also features a piezo pickup and a preamplifier by the renowned Fishman brand.

Escribió lo siguiente sobre Fender Newporter Player Jetty Black electro-acoustic guitar

Al een tijdje was ik op zoek naar een akoestische gitaar waarmee ik ook hogerop de hals kon komen, om de solo's te kunnen spelen die ik normaal gezien op elektrische gitaar speel. De cutaway op dit model is daar ideaal geschikt voor. Dat de hals de ergonomie heeft van de standaard elektrische Fender maakt het bespelen helemaal perfect.
De gitaar klinkt ingeplugd ook erg goed dankzij de Fishman pre-amp; de ingebouwde tuner werkt vlekkeloos en mute meteen je signaal als je het knopje indrukt, erg handig! Hij heeft ook zeker voldoende volume en 'body' om uitgeplugd goed hoorbaar te zijn.
Een keurig afgewerkt instrument, degelijk gebouwd en de prijs maakt hem wat mij betreft een no-brainer.
