General
Both the sound and the looks of the black Squier Jim Root Telecaster are fully consistent with Jim Root's style. The heavy metal guitarist, most notably from the band Slipknot, fine tuned a fifties classic together with Fender and Squier now offers a very affordable version of this guitar. It is equipped with two full-sounding humbucker pickups, especially fit for rougher guitar playing. The ambitious starting guitarist with a predisposition for rock and metal will be well pleased with this instrument.
The black Jim Root Telecaster
The refreshingly sober body of the Squier Jim Root Telecaster features a satin-gloss black finish with matching black tuners, bridge, knobs and pickup covers, and a white pickguard. This guitar has a relatively flat (12-inch) fretboard radius and extra large frets, making bends much easier. Like the classic Telecasters, it has a strings-through-body construction.
The Squier brand
Some of the most famous Fender models are the Stratocaster and Telecaster electric guitars. Many manufacturers have imitated these guitars in various price ranges. In order to be able to provide a reliable and attractive alternative for beginners themselves, Fender started their subsidiary Squier in 1982. Squier guitars and bass guitars are built according to specifications by, and under supervision of, Fender.
