The Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster is a tribute to J Mascis, the melodious leader of Dinosaur Jr. and alternative rock master. Together with Squier, Mascis modified this special Fender classic. The guitar has the same shape and overwhelming, full sound as its namesake but is equipped with hardware, pickups and finish picked by Mascis. That is how this electric guitar came to be equipped with a gold-coloured pickguard, a large '60s-style headstock and a beautiful off-white lacquer finish. The Fender Jazzmaster

The Jazzmaster became an instant hit after its introduction in the late fifties. Meant for jazz musicians because of its warm, low yet clear sound and asymmetrical body (which is comfortable to play seated), it soon became a coveted instrument among surf rock and alt rock guitarists thanks to its two single-coil pickup sound. You can alternate between the guitar's lead and rhythm circuits that both have their own volume and tone controls. The floating tremolo will allow you to bend the tone both up and down.

The Precision and Jazz bass guitars are Fender's most famous models, along with the Stratocaster and Telecaster. Many manufacturers have imitated them, with various price tags.
