Next to the standard Affinity Series Stratocasters, Squier serve up the deluxe QMT edition, setting up beginner guitarists with an affordable electric guitar with a uniquely luxurious finish. The comfortable and lightweight poplar body has been topped with cloud-like quilted maple veneer which, combined with the four-ply pearloid pickguard completes a stunning, stage-ready look. But this model isn't all about the aesthetics, since the solid, bolt-on maple neck has been given a C-profile to support a snug feel whether grabbing chords or spinning licks. The balanced foundation sound of the poplar body is framed by the warm accent of a laurel fretboard which is then amplified with classic Strat-style punch and growl by a set of three ceramic single-coil pickups that can be varied at will via the fitted five-way selector switch, set of two tone pots and single volume pot.
