Jackson Guitars: innovative designs

Jackson Guitars originated in 1980, when talented young guitarist Randy Rhoads approached Wayne Charvel - then the owner of Charvel's Guitar Repair shop - with an idea for an innovative V model. In collaboration with Tim Wilson and Mike Shannon, the Concorde was created. This guitar was so different from the other instruments Charvel was issuing at the time, that guitar builder Grover Jackson decided to introduce them under his own name.
