General

Jackson has used the Monarkh series to expand on its realm in the world of electric guitars, which includes this regal SCX7 in Gloss Black. Besides the standard 6 strings, this electric guitar has an extra low B string, which means your bass player has now officially become obsolete. Despite that amount of low, however, it feels and looks lightweight, especially with its single-cut body and slender neck. At the end of the day, though, the real passion of this instrument lies in its Seymour Duncan humbuckers.

SCX7 Monarkh Gloss Black: dark ringwraith

When you plug it in, the search for this SCX7 Monarkh in Gloss Black "one tone to rule them all" will begin. That sound originates from two Seymour Duncan humbuckers, a Sentient at the neck and an honest-to-goodness Nazgul at the bridge. From threatening lows to majestic highs, you can achieve just about any tone with these pickups. What's more, the three-way switch, two volume knobs and the tone knob all allow you to tweak your sound to perfection.

Lightning-fast performance

Despite how dark your tone gets, playing will be a breeze thanks to the compound radius neck which allows you to move your hand lightning-fast along the frets. This also means the first frets are rounder and more narrow, which are great for chords and riffs. As you move upwards, the neck becomes increasingly wider and flatter, which is ideal for playing solos and melody lines. To make your life even easier, the heel is designed to accommodate your hand, and the 24th fret is easily accessible.
