General
Jackson have released a striking, affordable signature guitar as part of the X Series. The Scott Ian Soloist is an SLXT version that has everything it needs to play all kinds of music styles, such as metal and rock. Based on the popular specs by the famous rhythm guitarist of Anthrax and SOD, this Jackson solid body is a perfect instrument for awesome riffs or even virtuoso solo parts.
Jackson Scott Ian Anarchy Soloist: nice growl, pleasant sustain
The maple neck of this Scott Ian signature is connected to the lightweight basswood body via a neck-through construction. Thanks to the basswood body, you get a nice, solid sound with a great growl in the mid frequencies. This Anarchy Scott also features a fixed Jackson compensated and adjustable bridge and through-body stringing. Together with the sealed, self-lubricating tuners, this results in a pleasant amount of sustain and great tuning stability.
Electronics, radius and finish
Because this Jackson SXLT is fitted with only one Duncan Designed humbucker and a volume potentiometer, you get a very solid, reliable sound that doesn't need any embellishments. Thanks to the compound radius of the fretboard, which goes from 12 to 16 inches, you can easily play tight chords at the lowest frets and still bend strings at the highest frets. The icing in the cake is a Thraxaram graphic on the body and White Lightning position markers on the fretboard.
