General

This Jackson guitar with glossy black finish, is part of the high-quality Pro Series. It's a Randy Rhoads with a striking body shape, and sets itself apart by means of the chrome-plated hardware and two Seymour Duncan humbuckers. This solid-body also features a smooth maple neck with an oiled finish, and an ebony fretboard. The neck is attached to the mahogany RR body with a neck-through construction, for a warm, balanced sound that results in a nice punch in the higher frequencies.
Jackson Pro Randy Rhoads Ebony GB: Mayhem Distortion and Floyd Rose
Two high-output Seymour Duncan humbuckers have been selected to complement the acoustic sound and the glossy, black Rhoads body. This Mayhem matched set of Distortion pickups is perfect for shredding leads and rocking low rhythms, for the rougher music styles. The recessed Floyd Rose tremolo allows you to combine your guitar playing with extreme dive bombs. This Randy Rhoads comes complete with Dunlop strap locks.
Jackson Guitars
The renowned American brand Jackson Guitars was founded in 1980 by Grover Jackson, and rose to fame with its customised V-guitar for Randy Rhoads. Today, many famous guitarists play a Jackson. Jackson guitars have an elegant design, a sharp headstock, shark fin position markers and a powerful sound that’s perfect for metal and hard rock. The Pro Series features many of the specifications of the handmade USA series, but comes at a much more affordable price.

Jackson Pro Randy Rhoads Ebony Gloss Black

This is a killer guitar, and very versatile despite the metal looks.

PROS

The maple neck and the ebony fretboard are smooth like butter. The ebony used for the fingerboard is really nice and dark and has a sort of low contrast with the aluminium inlays - for a stealth, mean look. Also, the guitar is VERY resonant!

The sound delivered by the Seymour Duncan DH6 and DH4 (else known as 'Mayhem Distortion') is very fat and distorted, with plenty of definition - this guitar screams as soon as you dial in a bit of gain in your amp.

It keeps in tune quite well, expect to do some fine-tuning after your playing by turning the small micro-adjustment wheels on the Floyd Rose 1000 floating tremolo bridge.

CONS

Kind of heavy.

Must be careful not banging the sharp edges of the guitar around! :)
