General
The Ibanez Iron Label series has been popular among metal guitarists for a while now. However, the well-known guitar-builders keep improving on this classic model, resulting in the RGIT20FE in Transparent Gray Flat. From its lightweight body, smooth Nitro Wizard neck and its headstock with Gotoh tuners, everything about this electric guitar is focused on speed. To achieve a great sound with plenty of sustain as well, this guitar features a neck-through-body construction.
Metal machine
Clearly, this guitar is a true metal machine. Thanks to its active EMG pickups (a 60 at the bridge, and an 81 at the neck), you can make it sound as dirty as you want; the pickups will manage just fine. This means plenty of powerful mids, heavy lows and rich highs with a lot of detail and sustain. Furthermore, thanks to the Nitro Wizard neck, you'll be able to comfortably reach every fret, so it handles both riffs and solos with aplomb. Another noteworthy feature is the Kill Switch beside the single volume knob that allows you to give your sound an almost strobe-like effect.
First-class materials
The RGIT20FE is composed of a lot of excellent-quality parts. Take the body, for instance: it features ash wings that show off the wood grain beautifully through the Transparent Gray Flat finish. What's more, it features an ebony fretboard with a comfortable 15.75" radius, while the heel is shaped in such a way that even the highest of the 24 frets are easy to reach. Finally, the fixed Gibraltar II bridge and Gotoh Magnum MG-T locking tuners ensure your guitar stays perfectly in tune.
