General
With its natural-coloured curves and birdseye maple fretboard, the Ibanez RGDIX6MRW in Charcoal Brown is a true eye-catcher. It features a rosewood top that contrasts nicely with the rest of the body. Its ash body gives the RDG an unusual sound, which is amplified by the DiMarzio Fusion Edge pickups, allowing for a focused sound with a nice bite and rich cleans. All in all, it's a high-quality metal guitar that is even suitable for a variety of different genres outside of the metal scene.
RGDIX6MRW: stable construction
Ibanez is known for their lightning-quick necks. The RGDIX6 features an ultra-thin Nitro Wizard neck. With its 3-piece maple/bubinga construction, it can handle the tension of the strings, even if you prefer a thicker gauge. Furthermore, the fixed Gibraltar Standard II-bridge and the Gotoh MG-T Locking Tuners ensure optimal tuning stability. This particular model comes tuned in D, and equipped with a set of .010 - .046-gauge strings.
Ibanez RGD Series
If you live and breathe metal music, you'll need a guitar that was designed from the ground up for playing heavy types of music. The RGD series models, for instance, come with a 26.5" scale, allowing for plenty of tension on the strings, even if you like playing in lower tunings. Thanks to the extra deep cutaways, all 24 jumbo frets are easy to access. From top to bottom, the Ibanez RGD was developed to be the ultimate metal machine.
