Calling all metalheads! The Ibanez RGAIX7FM is a 7-string guitar with a solid sound and feel. Its ebony fretboard helps keep its sound focused and sharp, and allows for excellent response. Furthermore, like a true Ibanez, the RGAIX7FM has an ultra-thin, highly comfortable Nitro Wizard-7 neck. Thanks to its 3-piece maple/bubinga construction, the neck can easily handle the extra tension provided by the low B string. The Transparent Gray Flat lacquer on the arched body further emphasises this metal monster's no-nonsense appeal.

RGAIX7FM: versatile image finder

Unlike most of the Iron Label guitars, the RGA doesn't feature active EMG pickups, but a set of passive DiMarzio Fusion Edge humbuckers. These provide a bright sound that keeps even this 7-string shredder's low B string from sounding muddy. They're powerful enough for even the heaviest music, but using the coil tap switch, you can easily tame them, adding some remarkable versatility to its sound as well. In short, from sparkling cleans to progressive djent, the RGAIX7FM does it all.

Prachtige gitaar, mooi afgewerkt zoals Ibanez altijd doet. helaas een klein min puntje over de pickups als je in een standaard tuning speelt vallen ze iets tegen mijn mening uiteraard aangezien ze dan een beetje solft worden vergeleken met de concurrenten. Maar zo`n best beest als deze koop je uiteraard voor de drop-tuning en dan stelt die je zeker niet teleur!

Speelt zalig. Ontstemt niet snel.
Pickups zijn even wennen als je van emg komt maar klinken wel goed in low tuning.
Heel mooie gitaar !

Cette guitare inspire le sérieux ! Elle est massive et donne l'impression d'être indestructible ! Très impressionné...
La facilité de jeu est excellente, les doigts bougent tout seuls ;)
L'accès aux aigus parfait... bref, elle est parfaite pour un shredder !
Le niveau de sortie des micros est impressionnant, et pourtant ils sont passifs !
Le coil-split est efficace, ce n'est pas un gadget, donc même si elle est orienté metal, elle reste assez polyvalente.
Et elle est très belle je trouve !

Point négatif pour moi :
le manche est un peu épais (question de goût), un peu lourde (mais pas en plomb non plus).
Sur le modèle que j'ai eu en main, les frettes était mal finies (pour le prix ça fait mal au coeur !) et le manche avait un léger creux (un défaut de fabrication je pense). C'est surement pas de chance...
