General

For everyone looking to switch things up for a change and not go for a black or sunburst finish, Ibanez offer the RG421MSP-TSP in striking Turquoise Sparkle finish. This rugged rock guitar has been fitted with two passive Quantum humbuckers for a fat sound and a fast Wizard III neck with a soft satin-gloss finish. The flat maple neck is home to 24 jumbo frets and makes the RG421 well-suited for both chord progressions and slick solos. This sharp axe is equipped with a F106 fixed bridge for outstanding tuning stability and increased sustain and has a surprisingly sharp price too!

Very good value RG from Ibanez as usual. I'll start with what surprised me the most: this guitar is super light. Almost as light as a Strandberg headless guitar! Must be the cheap Meranti wood :D I absolutely love this as the lighter the guitar, the longer I'll play it and you know what, it sounds good so...

The finish is absolutely more gorgeous than the pics here, if you've seen lighter colored pics online, it's more like it. The hardware isn't black but a much more beautiful chrome. I can't believe Ibanez didn't save this finish for a higher tier guitar, but hey, lucky for me as I needed a simple hard tail bridge, HH configuration RG with a maple fretboard. The HH Ibanez quantum pickups are pretty good for high gain tones but also very nice and articulate enough for clean tones. Overall a good purchase for sure. If you're not crazy about the finish, I would also look at RGRT421 as that's a very similar guitar with the same pickups but with Mahogany body and neck through construction, which for this price range is pretty crazy.

De gitaar is nog mooier in het echt, hij heeft een vollere klank dan mijn Stratocaster en dat klinkt top!
