General
Mick Thomson, a.k.a 'Mr. 7', is one of the guitarists in the heavy metal band Slipknot. With the MTM20-WH, Ibanez offers a signature model based on Thomson's personal instrument. Not only is it a must-have for Slipknot fans, it's also an excellent guitar in its own right! For instance, it features a 5-piece Wizard III neck made of maple and walnut, that allows you to play even the fastest licks with ease. The FX Edge III is a rugged fixed bridge that's based on the Lo-Pro Edge and Edge III Tremolo.
Ibanez MTM20-WH: materials
This guitar's body is made of mahogany, giving it a warm, balanced sound with plenty of bite. It has a rosewood fretboard with 24 jumbo frets and the special MTM20 inlay - spelling out the word 'seven' over the first five frets. Two Seymour Duncan HB-105MT humbuckers allow for bright trebles and focused lows, just the way Mick himself likes it. The Ibanez MTM20-WH comes with stock .11-.049 strings. While Slipknot enthusiasts and tribute bands can't really ignore this guitar, it's a great instrument in its own right, and well worth a look for everyone that likes a bit of heavy metal.
