General
Offering all the playability of modern tweaks, plus the timeless vibe of a T-style body, this edition of the Japanese-made FGN Boundary Iliad boasts the fattened up output of an HS pickup configuration. The lightweight basswood body isn't just comfortable but couples with a maple neck and rosewood fretboard to complete a resonant foundation rounded off by warm overtones. To support full control all the way up the neck, the fretboard has been given a compound radius that has a rounder, more snug feel closer to the headstock, and a flatter, faster feel closer to the body.
The Unique Circle Fretting System
FGN Guitars uses an unique and incredibly efficient fret system to ensure that minimal contact between the fret and string is required to nail a pure note. This doesn't just firm up the intonation across the entire note range but results in increased sustain and enriched harmonic overtones. Each fret edge has also been perfectly smoothed down to provide a level of playing comfort that should definitely come at twice the price.
Gotoh Tuner, FGN Pickups & Split-Coil Switch
Both of the mounted pickups have been in-house designed at FGN and can by popping out the push-pull tone pot, the humbucker at the bridge can be split for pure single-coil twang, doubling the voicing range of the three-way pickup switch. This HS edition of the Boundary Iliad even features a high-grade set of Gotoh machine heads, guaranteeing excellent tuning stability - and that's on top of the supreme playability and classic looks that this model has to offer. Bundled up with a gig bag, this guitar presents a superbly built, modern step-up for intermediate guitarists and a surprising treat for more experienced professionals.
