General
FGN prove that a high-grade guitar doesn't have to come at a high price. With the T-style Boundary Iliad, you're getting all the perks of modern playability alongside the charm of traditional style. The lightweight basswood body doesn't just lay down a comfortable base, but couples with the maple neck to shape a resonant tonal foundation with just the right amount of bite. While you definitely wouldn't expect to get it from a model in this price range, the fretboard has been given a compound radius which graduates from a rounded 250mm at the headstock, to a flatter 350mm at the body, giving the fret hand a controlled feel whether grabbing chords lower down the neck or licks higher up.
The Unique Circle Fretting System
FGN Guitars uses an unique and incredibly efficient fret system to ensure that minimal contact between the fret and string is required to nail a pure note. This doesn't just firm up the intonation across the entire note range but results in increased sustain and enriched harmonic overtones. Each fret edge has also been perfectly smoothed down to provide a level of playing comfort that should definitely come at twice the price.
FGN Pickups & Push-Pull Tone Pot
Both of the mounted single-coil pickups have been in-house designed at FGN and can be shifted into series or parallel via the push-pull tone pot to double the voicing range of the three-way pickup switch. The Boundary Iliad even features a high-grade set of Gotoh machine heads, guaranteeing excellent tuning stability - and that's on top of the supreme playability and classic looks that this model has to offer. Bundled up with a gig bag, this guitar presents a superbly built, modern step-up for intermediate guitarists and a surprising treat for more experienced professionals.
