For fans of the Stratocaster who don't have the world's deepest pockets, Fender issues their Mexican models. This marvellous silver Strat was also born in Mexico. However, where looks and sounds are concerned, it could just as easily be its American brother. Contrary to the USA-built model however, this version is equipped with two humbuckers - making it the perfect guitar for rougher types of music. What's more, its striking looks are a sure bet if you want to really shine on stage.

Like most Strats, this Standard Stratocaster GST SLVR has an alder body that results in a sound with proper body and a fresh edge, just like we've come to expect from Fender. The neck of this guitar is made of maple and supports a 21-fret rosewood fretboard. The overall result is an excellent Strat with a rugged body

Electronics and hardware

As we may expect from a Strat, this guitar also has a classic tremolo bridge that allows you to easily implement subtle tone bends into your playing. Two tone knobs subsequently allow you to adjust the tone to your liking and the 3-way pickup switch lets you select the desired pickup configuration. Naturally a volume control is also present, allowing for subtle tone alterations - just like on other guitars with passive electronics. The chrome-plated hardware is the cherry on top!
