General
How would you play the SH configuration on this Tele? In Open G or standard tuning? Fender offers an affordable Special Edition Sunburst Hot Rod Tele with a humbucker at the neck. In order to recreate that classic PAF sound, Fender have equipped this aged guitar with a double-coil '59 pickup by the legendary Seymour Duncan. The Custom Nocaster single-coil pickup atthe bridge truly completes the vintage picture. Of course, you've got a 3-way pickup switch at your fingertips and a control for volume and tone; in short, the essential elements you need to really rock out!
Special Edition Road Worn Hot Rod Tele: ash, soft V-neck and 6105 frets
Just like a hollowbody, the quality of an electric guitar begins with its wood types. This entire Tele features the Road Worn finish, and the all-maple neck has a urethane lacquer. The ash used in this instrument has been given a nitrocellulose finish, which adds an open tone to its acoustic foundation. This is the sound you're sure to recognise from authentic Fender Telecasters from the fifties. Unamplified, the Hot Rod sounds strong and bright and boasts a punchy undertone. The soft-V neck enhances this vintage feel and a 9.5-inch fretboard radius allows you to press down and play the strings more quickly and easily. The popular, slender Dunlop 6105 frets are set slightly higher, giving you a little more grip and even more room for expression.
