Fender Limited Edition Sandblasted Stratocaster Ash MN SBT

This rather striking electric guitar is the Saphire Blue Limited Edition Fender Sandblasted Stratocaster. Its body was first given a black base coat and then covered with a transparent blue lacquer. Afterwards the guitar was sandblasted to really bring out the grain of the ash body, resulting in a unique-looking guitar you really don't see every day. The remarkable features of this instrument don't end with its finish, however; it also features a combination of wood types, pickups, tone controls and tremolo you won't find on more standard Fender guitars.

Construction

The body is made of ash, which allows for a sound that has less mid frequencies and more emphasis on bass and trebles than the usually used alder. Extra sparkle is added by the 22-fret maple fretboard and neck. Additionally, this Strat’s vibrato unit consists of a traditional vintage-style synchronised tremolo with six saddles. Three American Standard single-coil Stratocaster pickups ensure proper amplification. What's more, this instrument is equipped with a no-load tone control for the middle and bridge pickups, which bypasses the circuit in the top position so not a single tone is lost.
