Filling the shoes of the popular Standard Series - and then demanding a size up - the Fender Player Series literally smashed the mould. Each model comes wrapped in timeless style and decked out with modern tweaks to support supreme playability. This is the limited edition, HSS-loaded FSR Player Strat, so you're not just getting that ever friendly and familiar Player Stratocaster build, but a dark ebony fretboard loaded with a set of twenty-two medium-jumbo frets, the agile feel of a satin-gloss coated neck, and a three-ply black pickguard to go with the black paint-job; the black tremolo arm cap; and the matched black headstock stamped with the Fender logo in gold.

The solid alder body lends this instrument exactly the level of resonance and sustain you'd want from a classic Stratocaster, and here, it comes beefed up by an HSS pickup configuration. So, you get a Player Series single-coil in the neck and middle positions to spit that timeless spank and sparkle, and a Player Series humbucker planted at the bridge to crank up the output and thicken up the tone. The result plays like a sonic acrobat: able to flip from lyrical, glittering phrases, to fat and forceful riffs. And since this is the special FSR edition, the humbucker has been treated to a chrome-plated cover to match the chrome-plated dome pots.
