The American Vintage '65 Stratocaster offers the sound and construction of a Strat from half-way through the sixties in a brand-new product. This guitar caters to musicians who want the pure character but can't - or won't - pay tons of money for a genuine relic. American Vintage '65 Strat Burgundy Mist Metallic: features

The body of this tasteful Strat is made of lightweight alder, which is still the standard for an American Stratocaster. Where Fender replaced the thick neck for a narrower profile around 1960, this '65 Strat again features a thick neck, this time with a more comfortable, rounder C profile. Its three single-coils are Grey Bottom models that were specially wound with enamel-coated wire, after the sound of the pickups from 1965. The controls and pickup covers have an aged-white finish, contributing to the overall vintage vibe. The 5-way pickup switch and the two tone controls are a familiar sight.
