This electric guitar has both the distinctive looks and sound as well as playing characteristics of the original. Like the '65 Jaguar, the '65 Jazzmaster features an asymmetrical body with an adjustable bridge and floating tremolo with locking tailpiece. However, the Jazzmaster has a full-sized 25.5-inch scale length and is equipped with two soapbar-style single-coil pickups for a warmer, fuller sound. The 1965 Jazzmaster's most notable feature is its thin rosewood fretboard, that follows the radius of the frets, has white bindings and extra large mother-of-pearl position markers. Also, Fender equipped the American Vintage '65 Jazzmaster with vintage-correct 'Witch Hat' knobs and a set of nickel Fender Deluxe Single Line machine heads. Finally, this 3-tone Sunburst edition has a '60s-style three-layer red tortoise pickguard.
