Like the '65 Jaguar, the '65 Jazzmaster features an asymmetrical body with an adjustable bridge and floating tremolo with locking tailpiece. However, the Jazzmaster has a full-sized 25.5-inch scale length and is equipped with two soapbar-style single-coil pickups for a warmer, fuller sound. The 1965 Jazzmaster's most notable feature is its thin rosewood fretboard, that follows the radius of the frets, has white bindings and extra large mother-of-pearl position markers. Also, Fender equipped the American Vintage '65 Jazzmaster with vintage-correct 'Witch Hat' knobs and a set of nickel Fender Deluxe Single Line machine heads. Finally, this 3-tone Sunburst edition has a '60s-style three-layer red tortoise pickguard.
American Vintage series: more accurate than ever before
