The Fender American Vintage '58 Telecaster is a proper reproduction of the legendary 1958 Tele. Fender did their utmost to accurately copy this electric guitar and it shows, as every single detail of the American Vintage '58 Telecaster is exactly the same as the original. Its thin nitrocellulose lacquer and 21-fret one-piece maple neck as well as the Top Hat pickup switch tip, single-layer white pickguard and chromed aluminium knobs - it's all there. The American Vintage '58 Telecaster even comes with a vintage-style brown case and replica case candy that consists of a brown leather guitar strap, an authentic grey guitar cable and all of the paperwork that you would've received with the 1958 model.
Fender American Vintage '58 Telecaster: authentic features
1958 was a pivotal year for the Telecaster, as it was from then on fitted with narrower-profile necks. Early on in 1958, the neck profile went from a thick U shape (which was rather a handful) to a more comfortable D shape. However, the shape of the neck isn't the only thing Fender equipped the American Vintage '58 Telecaster with. Of course, it features a lightweight ash body that, in this case, has an Aged White Finish as well as pickups that are made of the same materials and by the same specs and sound of the original ones. Other authentic features include the staggered magnets of the bridge pickup and solid-steel barrel bridge saddles for more clarity and bite.
American Vintage series: more accurate than ever before
Along with the American Standard series, Fender decided to give the 2012 American Vintage series a massive update. It has been expanded with new, iconic '50s and '60s models that have a minute vintage accuracy. To get to this point, the guitar giant tracked down and studied specs and details of numerous original vintage guitars. Fender even brushed off the tools of the period to make the result as authentic as possible. There's a good reason that these new models represent Fender's famed, 60-year long history in music.

Wat een gitaar! Na een lange zoektocht uitgekomen bij dit pracht stuk. Het belangrijkste aan een gitaar is na mijn mening dat die goed klinkt en fijn speelt. Dat doet dit gitaar zeker. De hals voelt erg comfortabel aan en licht goed in de hand en speelt erg fijn. En wat een geluid komt eruit! Met een beetje gain heb je erg fijne dikke/ brede sound op het Nek- element. Op het bridge- element de heerlijke twang zoals je van een Telecaster gewend bent.
De afwerking is Subliem! Geen naatje of krasje te vinden. Alle fretten allemaal perfect geplaatst. De nitro lak is erg mooi. Je ziet door de lak de prachtige houdnerven van de Ashen body.
De gitaar wordt met dezelfde 'Case Candy' geleverd als wat is je in 1958 er ook bij kreeg. Dit is erg mooi, en maakt de Unboxing een geweldige ervaring. De gitaar kwam perfect afgesteld en geïntoneerd binnen.

- Gitaren van Fender worden geleverd met Fender Bullets snaren. Dit zijn niet erg goeie snaren.
