Fresh looks, fresh playability and fresher sound comes backed up by iconic style, where the Strat body shape has been streamlined, contoured in all the right places and bound before being dipped in high-gloss lacquer. While this model does bear the tried-and-tested Fender recipe of a C-profile maple neck with a satin-gloss-coated backside and a set of twenty-two medium-jumbo frets, it features a flattened and focused 12 inch fretboard radius to tighten up playability and speed everything up.

The hardware of this 100% Japanese-made Strat has also been given a modern boost. So, the standard-issue tremolo bridge has been replaced with a Babicz FCH-2 Point Tremolo bridge: a major tweak that doesn't just offer fluid whammy-bar action but improves resonant transfer, so the natural mid-range foundation of the basswood body is intensified to lush effect and note definition is enhanced. This all-new model also features all-new pups: an Aerodyne Special Single-Coil Stratocaster in the middle and at the neck, and a Aerodyne Special Humbucking pickup at the bridge. This is combined with a five-way switch and set of new-look chrome witch-hat tone and volume pots to serve a sweet chunk of sonic beef up alongside more sustain, more articulation, more nuance, and that classic Strat-flavoured spank and growl.
