Fazley Modern Series F7S Transparent Purple 7-String Electric Guitar

J ai acheté cette guitare pour tester la 7 cordes sans vouloir mettre trop cher. La finition est correcte. Les micros moyen mais ca fait le taf. A ce prix la c est plutot bien pour debuter. Les cordes sont a changees. Elles ne sont pas top. Pour les reste la jouabilite est correcte et le manche agreable. Pas de repere sur le manche mais dispo sur le cote. Ca le fait qd meme lorsqu on a deja un peu de bagage sur guitare.

Alles is een beetje mhe. Hij heeft denk, ik al een tijdje in een magazijn gelegen. Want toen ik heb binnen kreeg was de snaren al vies/oud paar frets zat al wat roest op. De set-up out of the box is ook niet meteen goed nek brug alles moest aangepast worden. De snaren die er op zitten zijn te dun. De tuners zijn niet heel goed. Humbuckers zijn mhe. De frets steken niet uit, dat is redelijk oké. coil tap is een on/on switch, dus er zit altijd 1 humbucker in coil tap functie. Ik heb hem gekocht om dat ik een stel nieuwe Humbuckers heb. En die niet in mijn gitaar paste en wou ook niet met een boven frees in die gitaar aan de gang. Had gehoopt dat hij hier in paste, maar helaas net niet. Op zich niet erg, daarom heb ik een goedkope gitaar gekocht. Alles uit elkaar gehaald en bewerkt. Nek geschuurd kill switch push pull pot voor coiltap. Alles weer in elkaar en juist afgesteld. Speelt nu goed. Is een goedkope gitaar is wel wat van te maken. Maar verwacht niet out of de box een perfect spelende gitaar.

Voor deze prijs is dit een belachelijk goede 7-snarige gitaar. De afwerking heeft hier en daar wat kleine imperfecties, maar niets ernstigs. De pickups zijn verrassend goed en een flinke stap beter dan de standaard low-budget exemplaren van Harley Benton. Zelfs clean klinkt deze gitaar uitstekend en speelt hij erg prettig. Absoluut een aanrader! Met een paar upgrades, zoals betere tuners en hoogwaardige snaren, zou deze gitaar ver boven zijn prijsklasse uitstijgen.

A stunning value for money, the Fazley F7S plays great, is well finished and the pickups with coil splits produce great voicing. The neck is perfect, only the Hipshot style bridge needed a bit of tweaking and I put on a slightly heavier set of strings. Looks, plays and sounds like a £400 guitar.

Bought as a backup for my main 7 string and couldn't warrant paying alot for a backup guitar, but going to say for the price a brilliant little 7 string.
Had to give it a quick minor setup for my own personal taste, but very playable straight out of the box. Strings were OK, and perfectly suited to standard tuning, but I changed these straight away because I play down tuned with a thicker gauge.
The pickups surprised me, alot better quality than I was expecting and handle high gain very well and all other settings in between. The coil tap switch is a great feature, and one that isn't included with my much more expensive 7 string.
I have gigged with it and had no issues with it holding tune. All in all a good guitar for a great price, so much so I have also bought the other colour they do in this guitar.

I was considering buying a baritone electric guitar when I fell upon the F7S - effectively a baritone but without losing the high E string. This dark purple beauty is stunning to look at and the build quality is superb, particularly considering the price. Although playable straight out of the box, I've lowered the action to my taste and fine tuned the intonation (although the tension spring behind the bridge saddle on the low B string will not quite compress enough for perfection). The pots are nice and smooth as is the 3-way switch that controls the pickup selection. It even has coil splitting. I believe one of the humbuckers to be reverse wound and depending on whether you are using the bridge or neck pickup, the effect of the tiny coil splitting switch is reversed. One of the tuning pegs is a little stiff but the guitar holds tune well. The bridge humbucker is tilted away from the bridge so the pickups nearest the bridge are set closer to the strings - I'm not sure if this is deliberate but the guitar sounds great with the switches in all positions. It is easy to play despite the slightly wider neck. A minor criticism is that the high E string is a little quiet. The only major niggle is that Bax still don't tape up the inner box containing the instrument. In addition there was no padding in the outer box to hold the instrument box shut. Mine destroyed most of the polystyrene designed to protect it and has a tiny dink in the head stock and minor scuffing. But at the end of the day, this is a great guitar and superb value for money!
