The mint-green Pro Mod San Dimas HS HT is excellently suited to take on the rough stuff. It is equipped with a humbucker at the bridge and a single-coil neck pickup, allowing for a huge variety of sounds that ranges from high-gain tones to sparkling, rhythmic overdrives. Both pickups hail from the Seymour Duncan factory, guaranteeing their great quality! What's more, the humbucker packs a properly high output, allowing your amp to go berserk even earlier.
Charvel PM SD1 HS HT Specific Ocean: rough chic
To further elaborate on the Charvel's barrels of character it features an alder body. Alder has a very neutral sound with a mild mid dip that allows for heavy distortion without sounding muddy, an effect that usually occurs in the mid range of the frequency spectrum. Both the neck and fretboard are made of maple and allow for immensely smooth playability.
Electronics and hardware
For contrast, the hardware of this guitar is all black. The pale neck and black tuners look remarkably stunning. Electronics-wise, this guitar features as little as possible for minimal static. You can select the pickups via a 3-way switch. Both pickups are active in the middle position. Additionally, a volume knob allows for subtle tonal variations and of course volume control. A marvellous guitar at a great price!
