Real Charvel fans might remember that the company has previously issued a Pro Mod San Dimas in Snow White. This may seem like the exact same guitar, but looks can be deceiving. In fact, this H2 FR model sports extra electronics that count for a range of additional sound possibilities. Take the push/pull volume potentiometer, for instance, which enables you to use the bridge pickup as a single-coil. Additionally, there's a tone knob with a No-Load potentiometer. Turn it all the way up to 10, and it transmits your uncut guitar signal, highlighting the character of your instrument.

Pro Mod San Dimas 2H FR: a familiar concept

Charvel guitars are renowned for their comfortable feel, which makes them popular among rock aficionados and metal heads. The quick maple neck, fitted with a compound-radius fretboard that runs from 12" at the headstock to 16" near the body, is partly accountable. For subtle and more extreme vibrato effects you can use the 1000-series Floyd Rose double locking tremolo, which does wonders for the instrument's tuning stability. Finally, the Seymour Duncan JB and '59 humbuckers that are embedded in the guitar's alder body guarantee great tonal diversity.

Charvel: the original hot rod guitar

In 1974, Wayne Charvel opened up his own guitar repair shop. When Asian companies started to imitate his products, however, he decided to build his own guitars. Charvel guitars usually feature an ST-style body with a humbucker and a tremolo; these so-called Superstrats are incredibly popular among rock and metal fans. Today, Charvel is still known for their remarkable finishes, quick maple necks and other innovations. Since the company was taken over by the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation, it offers models in various price ranges.
